Movies: An Addictive Little Game

I recently came across a little game concerning movie titles. Essentially, what you have to do is Remove one letter from a film title and then write a short synopsis. It is a lot more fun than you might at first think.

Here are some of the movie titles I managed to come up with. I have to warn you, this can really be quite addictive, but if you would like to participate, see if you can leave your own little list of, say, three movies in the comment box below and we’ll see where this goes.

Anyway, here are mine …

BatMa

The story of a mother who finally realises her dream to play for the Dodgers.

The Odfather

The dad who couldn’t spell but finally decided to split from The Odd Couple.

The Odd Coupe

Sequel to The Odfather featuring a three wheeler sports car.

Gone with the Win

A horse racing pundit who only places bets on the nose.

The Even Samurai

Temperate Japanese warriors talk sense to the bandits.

The Tird Man

Irish remake of the classic.

The Iron Lad

Mark Thatcher turns out to be a chip off the old block.

Love Tory

Sequel to The Iron Lad

I

The story of a Roman Emperor who travels through time to invent artificial intelligence.

I’ve got to stop now - this is far too addictive

  1. Hi Victoria

I did warn you that it’s addictive didn’t I? Anyway, glad to hear you are enjoying it.

    Will

Well Will, 5 weeks later, not only have I become a keen player, all my friends are now in to it too. A couple of challenging ones we came up with:

    Strips

The story of the collapse of the fashion industry.

    Caligla

The inspirational saga of the guy who created calligraphy.

As you say, very hard to stop once you get started. We’ve been playing it in groups in public (usually al fresco coffee shops) and have had complete strangers come to see what all the laughter was about, some ending up joining us in the game. So it’s turned out to be a great way of making new friends. We thank you for that.

Brilliant Will, just Brilliant!! Hard to choose a favourite from your offerings. So love your sense of humour. Have decided to start playing this whenever I have a few minutes to spare - a new addiction awaits exploration!
