Best Personal Development Blog 2012

The time has come for me to announce the winner of our first ever annual awards here at White Dove Books. It has been a very interesting competition with many really excellent blogs nominated for the award. There have been some major blogs nominated, such as Zen Habits, many less well-known blogs and some brand new blogs too.

At the beginning of the month, I whittled the nominations down to just 10 blogs which I considered to be the best of the nominations. All of them, excellent blogs and, as I said at the time, all of them winners in my view. But the time has come to select the outright winner.

The first thing I did was to ask Inspiration readers to vote for the blog they felt should win and from those votes, I can reveal that the following three blogs received the most votes:

Zen Habits by Leo Babauta

“Zen Habits is about finding simplicity in the daily chaos of our lives. It’s about clearing the clutter so we can focus on what’s important, create something amazing, find happiness.”

Psycholocrazy by Jamie Flexman

“Psycholocrazy is about my journey from working in a dead end job to hopefully living the life I have always dreamed about. Unlike a lot of so called personal development blogs and websites, I will offer my advice from the viewpoint of an opinion.”

Deep Existence by Stephen Guise

“Deep Existence is a revolutionary blog that proudly claims the title of Personal Development’s Deep End. With recurring themes of deep thought and digging for the roots of critical issues, the articles here are best suited for people who want to be challenged and want to grow.”

I can tell you it was a very tough decision. However, I am very pleased to announce that the outright winner of our very first Annual Awards for The Best Personal Development Blog 2012 goes to (drum roll) …

Deep Existence by Stephen Guise

It was felt that The Deep Existence blog by Stephen Guise offered the unique blend of thoughtful analysis and originality we would like to see encouraged and we wholeheartedly feel that it deserves the award.

Well done Stephen - keep up the good work!

  1. Hi Justin

It is the first year we have run the award. But it has been very enjoyable and so it will be something we will repeat next year.

    Best wishes,

    Will

  2. Justin says:

Wow, Congratulations to Steve and his Deep Existence blog. I was not aware that you held a personal development award.

    Take Care.

  3. Thanks very much Will, I appreciate it. Best of luck to you and The Inspiration Blog too!

  4. Hi Stephen

The award was very well deserved in my opinion and I am sure that Deep Existence can only go from strength to strength. Good luck with your new project and keep up the good work.

    Best wishes,

    Will

  5. Oh wow! Thanks so much Will and readers! I have worked hard on it, that’s for sure. There were some seriously great bloggers in contention, so I feel honored and humbled to be selected (but not so humbled that I won’t boast about it on Facebook, lol).

Thanks for having this competition! I’m actually just finishing up a website redesign with funky new categories. I’ll have to make sure Deep Existence lives up to the award.

    Cheers,
    Stephen
