Randy Pausch's Last Lecture

Randy Pausch gave the following lecture on September 18, 2007 at Carnegie Mellon. This is quite a long video - containing, as it does, the whole lecture - but it is well worth your time to watch it ...

The talk was based on an idea for a series of lectures in which top academics were asked to give a hypothetical "final lecture".

Contributors were asked what they would speak about if they knew it would be their last lecture.

The lecture was subsequently released as a book, also called The Last Lecture, which became a best-seller.

Randy Pausch, sadly, died on Friday, July 25, 2008 - the culmination of his pancreatic cancer condition - at his home in southern Virginia.

The Carnegie Mellon professor was just 47 years old, but believed he had lived his life to the full.

He left a truly inspirational message for his children, and the rest of the world, in his memorable last lecture.

Our thoughts and prayers will forever be with his family.
