Born in unremarkable surroundings in a small town located in Judea, over two thousand years ago, was, either Jesus the Man or Jesus Christ, God Incarnate. This is an entirely logical statement; either Jesus was a man or he was, what Christians claim. There is no other possibility. Given that we cannot explore this question logically, how can we ever know the answer to this central, fundamental question about the nature of Jesus and his relevance to humankind?
The prospect of Jesus Christ as God Incarnate may be an illogical proposition but that does not necessarily make it a false one. No matter what your current beliefs are, I ask that you open your mind to possibilities. For the next few hours, or however long it takes to read this text, will you agree to suspend your disbelief, engage your brain and consider what follows carefully?
