A Place to Walk & Meditate
The Garden also does not figure in Jack's
house; however, I have found it useful to combine spiritual meditation with the concept of
the house on the right bank. My own meditation consists of walking slowly down the three
steps - as I do this, I concentrate on gradually stilling the mind - and slowly walking up
to the left-hand bench where I sit for the duration of the meditation; usually about ten
minutes. In my meditation, sitting on the bench in the garden is where I meet with God. I
usually don't say anything; I just sit there in his presence. When I have finished, I
stand, then walk around the fountain - which for me is a symbol of abundance - and back up
the path to the house. I then walk through the Central Hallway and Entrance Vestibule to
the door; and as I close the door I complete the meditation & open my eyes.
