Today is here, yet we keep thinking about what we have to do tomorrow. We plan our futures by looking forward to retirement, planning to take a vacation when or if we might have the time, or making a promise to visit old friends someday.
Things will be better in time, we think after a bad experience, and maybe if we can save enough money we'll get a better car. I hope we can buy a home, some think, but what actions are they taking today to make their dreams come true for tomorrow? Easier done than said for many, but we must live today for tomorrow. Otherwise, our tomorrows will never become what we need them to be for today. Each moment is all we have, but they can so easily be lost in the past without consequence or benefit of becoming a great memory or an exciting challenge for our futures.
Are you making the most of your day to day moments, or are you chasing an illusive tomorrow that never seems to come? Right now is a moment you can use to create your dreams and insure that tomorrow will indeed come! A tomorrow filled with great ideas, great memories, and a list of reasons why people find you to be a caring, loving person. This moment is the foundation for your college education or the future of your small children. It's the time spent between husbands and wives for deep relationships that will last, and all the success that you dream about achieving.
Don't be busy chasing tomorrow, relax and find a wealth of extraordinary treasure right in the moment waiting to entertain and amuse you, educate you and give you spiritual growth. There's no time like the present to find your joy and happiness because life is short and time is fleeting. So think the best and find something good in even the bad moments and difficult times. Don't have enough money and you're in debt?
Stop worrying about what you're going to do tomorrow and use the present to make a plan for getting out of debt. Or go out and get a job to pay your bills so you'll stop worrying today that you'll lose all your stuff tomorrow. This very moment is the time in which you create the rest of your life, so make it great and special. Avoid mediocrity by enjoying every step of your life's plan.
It's an experience that can never be bought, only lived, so do it well. Laugh your heart out for no other reason than to enjoy the moment. Life belongs to you when you own the moment, so take possession and manage it well. It can slip away easily when left on it's own so don't close your eyes and sleep through it when you've already had enough rest or it will be lost forever. As you can see, life if built upon one small moment at a time that creates the larger picture of our lives.
Living each day to the fullest as we know how at the moment, will expand our ability to make the most of our lives. Margaret Lukasik Christian Author, Teacher and Life Coach www.the-way-to-wealthy-living.com www.child-abuse-victim-recovery.com
