The wonderful thing is we know it is there and it is always there even
when we can not see it.

Like most of us the first thing I do after turning on my computer is check
my email which also like many of us I find that most of it is spam that
slipped through my filters; so, when I open my mail and find one that is
actually for me and to me my heart just kind of jumps.

I received this wonderful email from one of the many that read my blog
world wide. I have no idea where this person is from and it doesn't matter.

What matters is that they took the time to write me in a very kind and
gentle manner letting me know that perhaps my understanding of AA / NA was not
by any means complete.

Which is something that I acknowledge and am grateful for the added
understanding that the main focus of these groups are in deed personal
responsibility.

This lady has been on her personal road of recovery for seventeen years
and as she so wonderfully put it has not been easy.

The beautiful thing of it all is that it is a very simple process. The
thing is that simple is not always easy.

Last night my Lakers won the NBA Finals and the only reason for bringing
that up is that I remember many times over the years when Coach Jackson was
in Chicago and then coming here how I have heard him say time after time
that when things aren't working right go back to basics.

I live by that to the point that when I feel the energy in my life to be
unbalanced I sit now and see if I can figure out where I stepped not off the
path for we can never do that. But rather at what point did I begin to
feel something not right.

The Lady was quiet right in her email when she says it takes more than a
choice which it does, however all of it starts with a choice.

The really great thing is there is always a choice even when we think
there are no choices. This is usually just us saying to ourselves that the
only choices are those we do not wish to face.

Every thing in life is about facing those things we do not wish to face
which are usually our own fears.
One of my favorite things that keep me going is the saying that there is
nothing to fear but fear itself. Also that FEAR is False Evidence Appearing
Real.

If we can remember that while the world may appear to not care the
Universe or Spirit always cares.

Once I realized this along with the fact that I am never alone and Spirit
is always there with me no matter what it has made things so much more
easier for me to just live.

Spirit and I can conquer anything and yes this too shall pass.
