There are times I love who I am and times I can not stand myself. The times
I forget who I am and why I am here. Many times as I have said in the past
it is as clear as a Southern Californian morning looking out as Clear as a
beautiful painting. Other times it is as clear as a Southern California
morning looking through the fog or as Paul said looking through a glass darkly.I love to just sit and think and other times I just escape into a book, any
book will do. Since I was six years old I have read over three hundred books
a year. Let me see now 61 times 300 looks like it is over 18,000 books so
far.
That is a lot of escaping. I love books and love to read. That is why I
almost always have a book with me or close by. There is almost no
conversation about practically anything I can not add something constructively too.
Many of the ancient mystery schools, and also today "the secret" societies
motto was and is "Know Thy Self".
Rambling thoughts can give one the opportunity to just free associate and
study where we are in life.
All in all I love being me and would not trade a thing in my life. Yes
there has been and is pain in my life. Pain lets me know I am alive and can
still feel.
I feel sorry for those that do not have the ability to feel pain for that
means that somewhere in their life they are dead forgetting how to live.
The older I become the more I realize how little I know for there is so much
more to learn.
Every time I learn something new it opens new doors to be explored showing
me a vast panorama just waiting for me.
I love life. I am a lover of life. It is amazing to me how much I have
seen in the past sixty-six years. Electricity brought indoors, the outhouse
brought indoors, washing clothes brought indoors.
The neighborhood store becoming a giant one stop to buy all. From many
shops spread all around to many under one roof.
Seeing I book I complained about in 1965 for having to pay 39 cents for to
now paying $ 9.99 for the very same book.
Seeing a movie, buying a popcorn, candy bar and drink for 45 cents to paying
$ 8.00 just for the movie and $ 12.00 for popcorn and drink, well this is
progress, right?
I love being able to sit in my son's living room watching my Lakers on his
73 inch, yes, 73 inch television.
I live next door to my son and walk about fifty feet or less to his front
door, walk in, sit down and have a better seat than if I went to the game.
Life is wonderful and so are you and I thank you for allowing me to visit
with you like this for I Love you and Believe in YOU
Blessings and happy holidays
