I have talked about anger before and probably will talk of it again and
again and again. There was a time when I thought and believed that I had no
control over my anger. This was before a very dear friend pointed out to me that I definitely had
control over my anger for I never showed it in public only when we were alone
and used her as my escape valve with angry abusive words and actions.
Never to the point of physically touching or harming her, however, as I
found out from her it was still very harming to her to the point that I lost
someone very dear to me as a close friend.
I have found that yes I do have control over my anger and it is a choice, my
choice to hold it or to explode with it.
It is our nature to attempt to hold ourselves blameless when we act in an
inappropriate manner. It is only when we examine ourselves and hold ourselves
responsible for our actions that we can begin to take control of and change
our actions and our life.
Yes, the other person may push every hot button you have and being close to
you knows everyone of them, however it is still our choice to allow them to
do this to us.
Taking control of our actions is an act of power and every time we choose to
exert that power in not allowing our anger to overwhelm us makes us stronger
individuals. It is also a wonderful feeling when we no longer allow them to
get our goat.
The thing to remember is that with some people it is a game they play to
make them more superior and to give them power over another. When some one gets
me to lose it I lose face and they gain face for they appear to be the
bigger person.
Understanding it is a game much like the game of international diplomacy for
we see ourselves as the ambassador of our world which we are for each of us
is a world unto ourselves. As we move through society seeing ourselves as an
ambassador for the world of I AM then we carry ourselves differently
interacting with others in a different manner.
Trust me our actions in today's world can cause our world to blow up around
us just as surely as if we carried an atomic bomb in our back pocket for
words are that powerful.
Words create our tomorrow. They are our karma creator if you will for what
we say and do today creates what happens to us tomorrow, next week, next
month, next year and years to come.
Many of us are paying now for what we did or did not do as young people.
We can move past this by realizing that like a crop in the field we can sow
new seeds. As we sow new seeds they will gradually choke out the old sour
grapes of the past.
Change our thoughts change our life. Words to live by as are Harm none do
as you will. I do know that I love you and BELIEVE in YOU.
Blessings and happy holidays
