I am sitting here wondering if I really want to dive into this cauldron of worms. The idea itself of right of wrong is truly obtuse or just plain impossible to define. Right or wrong is s a purely subjective discussion.
What one person thinks is right another person may think the exact opposite. What is right for one person may be completely wrong for another. This person thinks red is an awesome color that one thinks it is a terrible color.
This one likes this that one likes that. None can agree on everything. Those that are agreed on become societal concepts. That actually doesn't mean they are right it just means most people think or believe they are right or they just aren't willing to go against the majority.
Confusion everywhere and every generation think they are right and their parents are wrong. The generation of the sixties most people agree really started this in motion of challenging everything. Actually it was their parents that began questioning life for how could anyone go through what they had with the great depression, World War Two and not have questions.
It was only natural that their children would grow up the same and each generation thereafter getting further and further away from the pre World War Two concepts of life.
You tell me it is easy to know right from wrong and I say is it? Remember in metaphysics there is no right or wrong life just is. We are always in the right place doing the right things with the right people at the right time, no matter what it feels like.
Of all the things I live by this is the one that at times gives me pause until I remember that every event is neutral until I give it a label. As long as I do not label it the event remains neutral.
The moment I see anything or anyone as right or wrong that is what it is until I change my thinking and change the label of the event. Take most any political campaign there will be people on both sides of the issue. It doesn't matte what it is, there are always very passionate people on each side of the issue thinking they are right and the others are wrong.
What I am striving for in my life is to get to the point that when an event happens I can say "that is interesting" and not put any judgment on it one way or the other. I want to save my energy for something truly worth my expending it on.
I look around and see some of the issues I have changed my entire life over and intellectually (from this point in time) they were very silly while at the time caused huge emotions in my life to arise. Most everything in my life changed with several of these issues. As I look back I have to wonder what would have happened if I had not been so adamant in my view points.
Then I remember I am in the right place now as then doing the right things in the right way with the right people no matter what it feels like.
Well ok but then I also remember that there is no right or wrong and the Universe, God, Spirit, Higher Power what ever we call the Supreme Being is everything. There is nothing that is not this Being and it encompasses all. That means this is the darkness as well as the light. If it is everything it has to be so. There is no duality except as we choose to think it. Of course there is no singularity unless we think it also.
It all goes back to the scriptures 'as a man thinketh in his heart so it is'.
There really is no right or wrong it is as we think it is. Nothing more nothing less.
The above is guaranteed to aggravate some, confuse others and just cause a few ( a very few) to think.
Blessings
