TGIF - Most of us know that means Thank God it is Friday. Well, in my part time day job my Friday may be Monday, Tuesday or any other day of the week. That got me to thinking about how very little is actually as it seems. I look at a chair, a car or even myself in a mirror and see what I think is a solid piece of furniture car or body, yet we know now from science that it isn't solid at all. There is actually as much space or emptiness as there is solid material.
If a Car isn't solid and neither is a chair I got to thinking what else isn't true about my life? Now this really has me stumped. Is my bank account really as low as I think it is at this time? Am I really living alone or is there an invisible companion I can't see? This is one of those times I truly have to do some thinking. As I think and meditate on this Spirit begins to show me that life is a paradox for all is seldom as it seems.
Spirit shows me that all I can ever want is here right now in the invisible plane. We don't see it for we do not have the faith for it to appear to us. To most of us is I believe it when I see it, yet Spirit says you'll see it when you believe it. I have actually lived with this philosophy for a while now and yes I am still working on Believe it and I will see it. I
have found that when I do it I get results, yet there is so much humanness there that I forget to do it until times like this when I require a good thought provoking subject for discussion of one kind or another. Let me ask you how do you live life. Do you believe when you see it or do you see it when you believe it. I believe it was St Paul that said "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen". Bless you Paul for you also said the things I would do I do not, yet the things I would not do, I do. I am more like Paul than I thought or Maybe St Thomas who said "Lord I believe, help my unbelief" as he put his hand into the wounded side.
