All of my life this has been. Never do now what you can do later. Now do today what can be put off until tomorrow. Sound familiar? The creed of the PROCRASTINATOR. Oh, yes I know it well. Very little aggravates me more than this trait in others yet here it was in me.
I have signs all around me that say "Just do it now". I really wanted to sleep a little later and as I sit here I still do. Just close my eyes as I sit here in my recliner with my laptop in my lap. It would be so easy to do. But then would come the guilt. The self talk.
I am doing my blog which I love to do and it is actually an optional activity that could have been done later today or even tomorrow so where is the pressure from. It is from me that is who.
I want to be a better person. I choose to be a better person. Part of that is getting rid of the procrastination. I can do this. I will do this. I am doing this.
I love myself and will not beat myself up for it. I will move through this. Actually today's bit of procrastination served a purpose. I had no idea to write about this morning and there it was.
I said ok Spirit you're up I have no idea what to talk about today and here it is. You know if I wasn't such a messed up person I would really have little to talk about.
The good thing is not that long ago I was blundering through life without a clue messing my life up and not even knowing it. Now at least I can see what I do when I do it.
The nest step is to see it prior to doing it. Life is a progression. A series of spirals if you will. As we complete one we move on the next. Some people are in a series of downward spirals while others are in a series of upward spirals. Which are you in? Do you even know? Do you even care?
As you enter a spiral many times we recognize and can say been here, done this, learned the lesson, let us move on. Then move on we shall to another spiral, event or lesson if you will. We really are in charge of our life when we take charge. Not to say the Universe won't lead you a merry chase at times.
Sometimes we just have to sit down with the Universe and say ok conference time and just talk it over with the Universe and yes in its own way the big u answers. I may not always like the answer but I always know what it is.
Oh yeah. I just remember what I was going to write about. Well maybe tomorrow. Oops there it goes again. What was that thought, where did it go. Oh well, until tomorrow.
