A few post ago I made a statement about being a fundamentalist minister which I was prior to having a mini stroke in 1975. This event brought on many changes in my life the largest of which resulted in my walking away from the fundamentalist church of which I had been an associate pastor and minister of education.
After my stroke I was assigned a new age counselor which is so funny for I had specifically requested a Christian counselor. Being fairly open minded I thought this was interesting and after talking with him the first time decided to see where this would lead.
My first assignment was to find A Course In Miracles group and join it which I did. This lead me to the Church of Religious Science (this is not Scientology) then to several mystery schools of knowledge also to study may esoteric fields of study. Among them Hypnosis, Graphology, Numerology, Astrology, palmistry, just to mention a few.
I was ordained in to the Universal Life Church in 1996 or 97 I don't remember which for it doesn't matter. Man may hand you a piece of paper but the Universe or God or what ever you may call your higher power calls and ordains not man.
The Scripture says many are called but few are chosen. I believe that when one is called it is up to that person to answer the call and to all that are called and accept they are chosen. I was called at sixteen and ran until in my later years when I accepted the calling.
I thought at an early age I wasn't worthy and I was right for none are worthy of the calling it is in our acceptance that we find our worthiness which was there all the time it was up to us to find it.
That is why I now walk the path of the Spirit for there is no guilt, shame, blame or fear in this teaching only the Love of the Spirit for all. I may not have to have lunch with all, but I do have to Love all even the ones that reject us and laugh at us for even our brother said forgive them Father for they know not what they do.
Many times that is my prayer. For it is amazing that man has no idea what they are here for or doing here. Rush, rush, rush. Slow down and enjoy life. I see so many men with families that have no idea how blessed they are to be where they are. Slow down and enjoy your life. Know that moment of release between you and your partner is the highest moment or peak of Spirituality there is possible between two people. It can not be accomplished by one person alone.
Stop right now where ever you are and what ever you are doing or going through and say thank you for no matter what it feels like you are doing what you are suppose do be doing when you are suppose to be doing it, with or without the person you may be doing it with. No matter what you are in the right place no matter what it feels like.
That doesn't mean you may be doing it tomorrow or next week or next month although if you are you are still in the right place until you choose not to be there. We are co creators with the Universe and what we choose to create the Universe chooses to do it with us no matter what it is. The Universe is there with us.
