Henry Ford
Born July 1863 in Dearborn, Michigan. As an engineer with the Edison Illuminating Company in Detroit he was able to create personal experiments into the internal combustion engine. After two unsuccessful attempts to establish a company, with self confidence, the Ford Motor Company was incorporated in 1903 with Henry Ford as Vice President and Chief Engineer. He lost his fortune several times but re-established his wealth each time. The Ford Motor Company is still a thriving business in the automotive industry today.
Adam Faith
Born June 1940 in Acton, London. Adam had a successful career in music, stage and film. His musical talents produced many hit singles during the late 1950s and 1960s. Adam's acting abilities were seen in the touring version of "Billy Liar" of which he played the lead role and likewise in the television role of Budgie. Film wise he had major roles in the 1970s films "Stardust" and "McVicar". With self confidence he re-invented himself as a business man and financial guru, writing a financial column for The Mail on Sunday. Famously he too lost his wealth only to re-establish it again.
Donald Trump
Born June 1946. Donald is an American business magnate, socialite, television personality and author. Chairman and CEO of The Trump Organisation; a United States of America based real estate developer and founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts who operate casinos and hotels across the world. His extravagant lifestyle, outspoken manner and extreme self confidence have made him a true celebrity. The 1990s saw his much publicised financial problems, creditor led bailout and an extramarital affair resulting in divorce from his first wife Ivana Trump. The late 1990s and the new century has seen a resurgence in his financial position and remains a major figure in the field of real estate in the U.S.A.
Gordon Ramsay
Born November 1966. Gordon is a Celebrity Chef who has been awarded 12 Michelin Stars. Television programmes of note includes "Hell's Kitchen" and "The F Word" in the United Kingdom and "Fox's Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares" in the United States of America. His early years were devoted to football with Rangers showing more than a glancing interest in his talent. Despite self confidence, persistent serious knee injuries prevented him signing for the club. His attention now leant towards his other interest; cooking of which his successful career was founded. His business interests include restaurants, media and consultancy all held in Gordon Ramsay Holdings Ltd. Gordon Ramsay has had two court cases which have proved successful in his favour.
Bill Gates (William Henry Gates III)
Born October 1955. An American business magnate of self confidence, philanthropist and the third richest man in the world (as of February 2008). Chairman and co-founder of the Microsoft organisation. Although admired by many for his entrepreneurial attributes he has often been criticised for his business tactics and management style. Some tactics have been considered anti-competitive; some of these opinions having been upheld in court. Despite this Microsoft remains the number one computer software company in the world today.
