Inspiration - Personal Development at its Best!

People have different reasons for getting up in the morning and the motivations that drive us through the day can be many and varied also.

Perhaps the children need to be driven to school, with all the trials and tribulations that come with getting them out of bed, making their breakfast and struggling to sort out the tantrums. Yes I've been there and got the tee-shirt.

On the other hand, there are those folk who are retired. For them there are many pleasurable reasons to pull back the bed covers and spring into life. Yes even for the retired there are still some mundane chores to be done, but they are tackled fervently knowing that they have the rest of the day to play.

For others , they may have a business to run and their zest for life comes from making their business grow and become successful. Motivation is easy to find and their self confidence drives them forward.

For the vast majority waking up in the morning is about getting to work on time in order to earn a crust. Motivation is lacking as all their hard work is making money for the governor. Their mindset is to do only what is necessary and then get off home. For these people life lacks any true riches and they certainly feel unfulfilled.

For those of you who want to drag yourselves out of this rut you must have a deep desire to want better. This want and need must be followed with a dream plus a self belief that you will achieve better. Desperation to rid yourself of your current employment may well be setting in but remember, creating something better for yourself doesn't happen overnight; unless you win the lottery. If you are happy with the type of work you do it may be the best option to stay in that industry. You skills are already set up to achieve success and re-training is less likely to be necessary, although if you are setting up a new business in that realm then there will be some new skills to be learned. However, if you are adamant that you want a change in direction, success is still very much achievable provided that you have the self confidence, motivation and belief that you can get there. Of course it will take a little longer to realise your dream.

Being in a business or employ that you truly love, you will give one hundred percent to that work. Your drive and determination to make it succeed will drive you on and provide the energy when the going gets tough.

Before you are in a position to work the trade of your choice you will most likely have to continue in your present role. With in this role you should still give it your best shot.

Why? You may well ask.

Doing the best you can at anything you undertake in life develops that success mentality. The task may not be a particularly pleasing or easy one but by putting your best efforts forward creates the desire to "do things right". There is always a great sense of satisfaction when a job is completed well, and let's face it who likes doing things badly.

A word of caution here. In order to put your best efforts into a job, task or role doesn't mean you have to attempt to do a hundred and one things. The idea is to concentrate on the task at hand; to give that task your best effort. By having too many things to do will cause you to be constantly concerned with the other tasks, worrying where the time will come from to complete them. Your mind should be allowed to be on one thing at a time. This way you can be the most efficient and therefore productive at everything you do.

If you do have many jobs to be completed then you have to discover how to prioritise and time manage. Decide which jobs are the most important and tackle them first. Then make a decision about how long you will spend on each one and, if the job cannot be finished in the allotted time, can it be completed at another date.

By being efficient, you can be successful at everything you put your mind to. Greater satisfaction can be had and your self esteem and self confidence will grow. You will achieve personal growth and you will have the motivation to get out of bed in the morning.
