Inspiration - Personal Development at its Best!
Friday, 20 February 2009

In recent years, there seems to be more and more people with all kinds of health problems than ever before. And many of these are requiring surgeries, or at least that's what doctors are recommending.

There are three surgeries that seem to be the most common ones, today, knee and hip surgery and heart bypass surgery. All of these, in most cases, can be corrected without surgery. But here's another case where greedy doctors are looking out for their own financial welfare.

All surgeries, no matter what kind, are always dangerous and have some degree of risk. Not only that, a hospital-stay can also be an unsafe experience for people too.

So what is the solution if you have one of these ailments? The answer is: there is usually natural methods that can resolve your illness.

* Knee Pain

The main cause of knee pain is usually postural and muscular unbalances in your body. Tight muscles in your leg and other parts of your body can exert pressure on your knee caps, pulling them out of alignment towards the inside of your legs.

Massage therapists with a background in muscular alignment can relieve pain in knees and usually correct many of the problems associated with them. Its also recommended that you eat more good oils and fats like avocados, almonds and fish.

A therapy you can do at home called "trigger point therapy" is usually very effective too. It helps to release muscle tightness in your legs and helps knees to move back into their normal position.

Yoga exercise is also recommended. But before doing these, it might be a good idea to consult with your therapist first.

* Hip Pain

1)            Try to do hot and cold compress alternatively on the hip region for a least 10 to 15 minutes.  Find out whether heat or cold relieves the pain.  Then continue doing this for as long as pain remains.  Later on, whenever pain aggravates, immediately do hot and cold fermentation.  You can also try heat rub or hot bath.

2)            Gently fold and unfold your right leg and do not sit cross legged.

3)            Apply some gel or any oil on the area after getting up in the morning and before going to bed.  If you tend to get pain often, then regular body massage will prevent further risks or aggravation.

4)            Try and exercise regularly.

5)            Do not put pressure on that area by sleeping or sitting on that side.

6)            Turn on your side and then wake up from the bed.  Never get up or turn suddenly.

7)            Eat healthy foods and include fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, cereals and seeds in your diet.

8)            Avoid fats, processed foods, junk food and tinned foods of all kinds.

9)            Stop smoking completely and lower the alcohol consumption.

10)         Eliminate red meat and all hot spices from your food.

11)       If you are in too much pain to exercise, go for a stroll and take long and leisurely walks.

* Heart by-pass surgery

You can be sure that if you experience some severe pain in your chest the likelihood of you being admitted to the hospital is almost certain. Then many times the doctor wants to rush you into surgery real soon too.

Don't always get into a big hurry about agreeing to surgery. Get a second opinion as soon as you can. Even people that experience panic attacks have sometimes the same symptoms as people do with heart problems.

A heart attack occurs when an artery that supplies blood to the heart muscle gets blocked. The loss of oxygen and nutrients damages the heart muscle tissue, part of it essentially "dies".

The remaining healthy tissue has to pump even harder to keep up. The same thing happens in the case of high blood pressure too. The heart has to pump harder than normal to keep the blood circulating.

All of these ailments are preventive. Our modern diets contribute to so many ailments that it's unbelievable.

Our fast paced world today causes just about everything that's wrong with everyone's health today. Poor diet, lack of exercise, increased stress, lack of proper nutrients all contribute to this poor health condition.

A lot of the poor health in the world today happened today because we failed to have healthy habits in our early years. However we can usually turn this situation around if we will just take charge of our personal health now.

Now even though we may have some serious problems and we may not restore our body to a perfect health state, we can at least stop the condition from having our body to fall apart anymore.

Even by doing this, we still have a better than average chance of extending our longevity. Don't wait. Start now.

To you good health,
