If you are interested in being totally healthy there are three issues you should consider reviewing. They all involve what you are ingesting into your body. They are food, soda and prescription drugs.
(1) Food – It's critical to know what's contained in the food you are eating. This does take a little effort on your part. Three things you need to be aware of mostly is total calories, percentage of sugar and percentage of fat in whatever you are eating.
We all know that the number of calories you consume has a tendency to add body weight. Excess body weight can be responsible for a multitude of health problems.
One of the greatest dangers of being overweight, is it can manifest into serious health conditions as diabetes. However overweight and obesity are nearly 100 percent preventable by following a nutritional plan, exercise and addressing emotional stresses.
Now, in regard to sugar, excess sugar may result in a number of other significant consequences. Here's just a short list of those consequences:
* Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defense against infectious diseases
* Sugar causes loss of tissue elasticity and function
* Sugar can weaken eyesight. Sugar contributes to obesity
* Sugar can cause premature aging
* Sugar can cause gallstones
* Sugar can cause appendicitis
* Sugar can cause hemorrhoids
* Sugar can cause varicos veins
* Sugar can contribute to osteoporoisis
This information was compiled from a variety of medical journals and other scientific publications. (It's part of a list of 76 ways sugar can ruin your health)
In regard to fat in your diet it's the kind of particular fat that you need to avoid.
Everyone needs some fat in their diet. However trans fats are the ones to avoid, because it is an artery-clogging fat that is formed when vegetable oils are hardened into margarine or shortening.
It is also found in french fries, fried chicken, doughnuts, cookies, pastries and crackers. In America typical french fries have about 40 percent trans fatty acids. Doughnuts have about 35 to 40 percent trans fatty acids.
Some companies like Frito Lay, Lipton, and Nestles have already taken steps to eliminate trans fat in some products. Nestle is removing it from Rollo and Toffee Crisp and possibly other products.
(2) Soda – What we are taking about here is basically soft drinks. Sugary drinks are linked to many illnesses and diseases. The biggest concern about soft drinks is the extreme damage it causes to the health of children.
Long-term consequences should be of the greatest concern. Each daily soda increases obesity by 60%. Caffeine in soft drinks is similar to nicotine in cigarettes. One soda a day also increases risk of diabetes by 85% too.
Even all-natural fruit juices are not as healthy as you may think. Some of these sweet drinks include Kool Aid with sugar and natural apple juice.
Nutritionists and New U.S. dietary guidelines both agree on the some recommendation. It is better to eat whole fresh fruit than to consume fruit juice.
(3) Prescription Drugs – The third concern you should have is about any drugs you are injecting into your body. This even includes over-the-counter drugs. When 50% of our citizens are on prescription drugs it should even be a great concern of our government, too.
Even they are brainwashed by Big Pharma that drugs are the ultimate cure for all illnesses and diseases. When you talk about abuse to your body, drugs are even a worse culprit to our over all health than the other two concerns, food and sodas, that were discussed earlier.
Many drugs whether prescription or over-the-counter pose more threats to your health than you would ever believe. Instead of solving your illness or disease they can ever contribute to other serious health ailments.
If you are a victim of using prescription drugs, I encourage to learn more about the hazards of taking them and find a doctor of natural medicine who cn help you wean off them.
Taking personal charge of your health is the only way to become and stay healthier and help reverse the tide of poor health in American today.
