The Presidential campaign is running in high gear now and it will soon draw to a close. Many issues have been discussed, but we have yet to hear a viable solution to our healthcare problem. The talk is usually about better insurance coverage. That's not the right answer.
The only candidate who had a solution to our healthcare program was Ron Paul, the Representative from Texas. However most people never heard much about him because he never got the recognition he deserved.
The most likely reason he was never nominated was because his health plan would have been detrimental to "Big Pharma" (the drug companies). You see his plan was nothing like the plan being proposed by Senators O'Bama or McCain.
These two candidates support legislation that calls for primarily better insurance coverage for all Americans. Ron Paul's plan basically calls for better "health education."
In other words, his idea is to educate people with the proper ways to be healthier and maintain good health for as long as they care to. The program he proposes would teach everyone the benefits of adopting a healthy diet, the benefits of daily exercise, stress management and adding nutritional supplements to their daily health regimen.
Do you realize that 50% of all Americans take a least one prescription drug everyday. I have heard some take as many as 11 prescriptions a day. Do you realize we are at the top of the list as one of the sickest nation on earth? Do you also realize the U.S. is only one of two nations in the world who are allowed to advertise prescription drugs?
Now let me ask you, do you think "Big Pharma" wants a national health plan that teaches our people how to be healthier? Do you think medical insurance companies want Americans to learn how to be healthier?
I think the obvious answer to both of these questions is H… No! If people learned how to become healthier, how many would need prescription drugs any longer? If people learned how to be healthier, how many would need medical insurance any longer?
Are you beginning to see the real big picture how politician's policies and legislation aren't beneficial to their constituents ? But you know what the real truth really is? It isn't about to change – unless Americans wake up and realize they are tired of being brainwashed by "Big Pharma", the press, the medical profession and your entire government on how to take care of your health.
It's really shocking to know that sales of pharmaceutical drugs in the U.S. in 2007 were about $40 billion. However some recalls are starting to make a dent in their profits. Isn't that a shame?
Here's a couple of other statistics that should be seriously noted too. Fast food sales in American last year were $148.6 billion, which is 64.8% of the top ten world's fast food sales. Our closet competition is Japan with $13.9 billion in sales and India has the lowest sales with only $4.9 billion in sales.
Now McDonald's is the big winner here. In 2006, sales were $21.6 billion. But this is even more interesting. Grocery store sales in America in 2007 were $67 billion in sales, less than half the sales of fast food. Huh!
The other statistic I want to make everyone aware of is cigarette sales. Even though the sales of cigarettes has declined in recent years, it's still very concerning to me that the figure was $378 billion in sales in 2007.
So let's go back and look at this whole big picture of health in the United States at the present time:
* We've got sales of fast food at $148.6 billion where massive advertising plays a big role (newspapers, magazines, TV, radio etc.)
* We have grocery sales running less than half the sales of fast food.
* We have cigarette sales figures at $378 billion.
Now this is only part of our health problem because we haven't looked at the level of people's stress problems, obesity conditions, illegal drug consumption or any other number of illnesses that are very prevalent in this country.
Here are the facts, my fellow Americans that needs some serious attention. Once again according to what I'm hearing about the ideas the presidential candidates have for improving healthcare, I haven't heard one serious idea that either one of them has for solving this massive health problem.
There is only one solution to this health issue and that's "HEALTH EDUCATION" Hear me load and clear, please. "HEALTH EDUCATION" is the only solution.
When I hear such conversation in Congress about suppressing the nutritional supplement industry and all other ideas about alternative health matters that really bothers me greatly.
And guess who heads the list of idiots in this matter? None other than the very sick, Senator Ted Kennedy. If he continues with his conventional treatments you can bet modern medicine could eventually help burn up his insides with drugs and radical treatments..
There is pretty strong evidence that this also happened to Tim Russert, Tony Snow, Peter Jennings and Bernie Mac recently. Don't believe me? Read the real stories. They are available at
