Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a very serious disease mostly among children. It is defined as:
A syndrome of disordered learning on disruptive behavior that is not caused by any serious underlying physical or mental disorder. It's characterized by symptoms of inattentiveness or primarily by symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsive behavior, or by the significant expression of all three.
What's surprising is that there are no physical tests that can be given in order to diagnose the disorder, not even blood test, scans, etc. And there are many other conditions that mimic this disease.
Here are some of the symptoms of the disease:
1) You notice your child is having trouble focusing.
2) It becomes worse.
3) Teachers begin to complain, or something happens and you feel the need to go to the doctor to "fix" the problem.
4) The doctor does a "paper" test to determine if your child has ADHD.
5) The doctor subscribes ADHD medication that causes minor side effects, violence, dependency and possibly even death.
6) As a parent you feel "guilty" because you know somehow that drugs are not the answer.
And you are exactly right "prescription drugs" is not the answer.
However in America, doctors will often shun anything that isn't a "medication." Even though there are hundreds and hundreds of studies showing the benefits of natural supplementation and herbal remedies.
There is now such overwhelming evidence about how basic nutritional supplementation can literally "cure: ADHD without the use of harsh medication. The country of Australia has banned the practice of prescribing medication unless all other methods have been exhausted.
The drug Ritalin has been the primary drug to treat this disease. This drug used to be an illegal street drug called "speed". It's an amphetamine. This drug and other ADHD drugs actually stunt the growth of children, causing their brains and bodies to be physically altered.
Mind altering drugs are dangerous for anyone to consume. You would have thought we would have learned that in 1999 with the massacre at Columbine . Twelve young people were killed and 23 were wounded.
The mainstream media virtually glorified that event, but utterly failing to report the connection between violence in young men and treatment with psychiatric drugs (both of the shooters, Eric Hawkins and Dylan Kiebold were taking antidepressant drugs.)
And how about in March 21, 2005 at Red Lake High School where Jeff Weise killed 5 fellow students, a teacher and a security guard.
After that it was Seung-Hui Cho at Virginia Tech who killed 32 people. Then committed suicide. That incident happened April 16, 2007.
And more recently on December 6, 2007, Robert Hawkins age 19 years walked into a Omaha, Nebraska mall entered Von Maur department store through a second-floor main entrance, took an elevator to the third floor and immediately started shooting.
He killed six Von Maur employees and two shoppers before turning the gun on himself. Here's part of the suicide note he wrote:
"Just thinkā¦I'm gonna be (explicit) famous. I don't want anyone to miss me, just think how much better you are without me to support. I want my friends to remember all the good times we had together."
Now here's the real truth about this tragedy. Big Pharma is to blame for this one, not the manufactures of the gun. That gun had a trigger, and the trigger was pulled by a finger. The finger was connected via a series of nerves to a brain, and that brain wasn't functioning like a normal, healthy and well-nourished brain. It was really functioning like a zoned out "zombie" brain permantely distorted by pshchiatric drugs.
It's a known fast that Robert Hawkins had a history of being treated for both depression and ADHD. He could have been a healthy, stable and normal kid with the help of some real food, real nutrition and real love from a supporting family. Instead he lived on junk food and worked at McDonald's. What a sad story this is.
So I'm making a strong appeal to all parents. Please get smart. Don't surrender your kid to Big Pharma. Find a doctor who is educated about nutritional supplements and take your kid to him/her for the correct supplementation. And lastly make sure you learn what are nutritional meals and start cooking them regularly. Also don't let your children eat junk food either. I don't believe you would like to be a parent caught up in a tragedy of any kind. Would you?
