* Control your insulin and leptin levels. Make sure that you limit your intake of processed foods and sugars as much as possible. Even make the same commitment about eating junk food also. Neither of these foods are healthy choices.
* Get appropriate amounts of animal based Omega 3 and make sure you use cod liver oil if you don't have regular access to sun exposure.
* Get appropriate exercise. What this does is drive your insulin levels down. Controlling your insulin levels is one of most powerful ways to reduce your cancer risks.
* Get enough sunshine. It's now firmly established than you can reduce your risk of cancer by 50% if you get enough sunshine. Just make sure you know what are the safe limits for sun exposure.
* If you have adequate exposure to sun then use fish oil instead of cod liver oil as your primary source of Omega 3 fats.
* Eat as many vegetables as you are comfortable with. It's best that they be fresh and organic. If you are a carb metabolic type you may need up to 30% more vegetables than a protein metabolic type.
* Maintain an ideal body weight. Two-thirds of the population are overweight. Don't be part of this category.
* Get enough quality sleep. There are a lot of recommendations of how much sleep is adequate. Most authorities recommend eight hours of sleep. However there are people getting less than eight hours of sleep
* Reduce your exposure to environmental toxins like pesticides, household chemical cleaners, synthetic air fresheners and air pollution. This could be real difficult to handle if you work outdoors. So if you do you should use the proper methods for protection.
* Boil, pooch, bake or steam your foods, rather than frying or charbroiling them.
Here are some additional healthy ideas to implement:
* Eat mostly foods of plant origin including fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans.
* Limit intake or red meat and avoid all processed meat.
* Limit alcoholic drinks to one a day for women and two per day for men.
* Limit consumption of salt, avoid moldy grains or legumes.
As you probably know your key to fighting cancer is prevention. So you have to make your mind and ask, am I willing to make the lifestyle changes needed to improve and maintain my own health?
Or have I fallen prey for pharmaceutical brainwashing that they can fix me if I start falling apart? No one can cause you to shove pills down your throat unless you want them to. Don't accept doing this as your only option. You have choices. Exercise them!
