We not only have the medical profession and the prescription drug industry helping destroy adults health - now they are starting to do the same to your children.
I could hardly believe what I was reading the other day in my local newspaper about some ridiculous ideas pediatricians have about your children's health.
The guidelines released by the American Academy of Pediatrics not only are shocking but disgusting as well.
Basically what they are saying is that treating children's high LDL cholesterol (that's the bad cholesterol with cholesterol fighting drugs is safe. Baloney! They are not even safe for adults.
These drugs will eventually cause more problems than you would ever believe.
Where in the devil is all of this going with this corrupt thinking of these people who are suppose to be taking excellent care of our children's health.
Dr. Stephen Daniels of the American Academy of Pediatrics nutrition committee, says the new advice is based on mounting evidence that damage leading to heart disease, the nation's leading killer, begins early in life.
Here's an interesting note about Dr. Daniels. He has worked as a consultant to Abbott Laboratories and Merck and Company but not on matters involving their cholesterol drugs. (Just being connected with them is bad news)
Dr. Daniels goes on to say, if we aren't more aggressive about this in childhood, I think we have an impact on what happens later in life. ... and avoid some of these heart attacks and strokes in adulthood.
The report continues by saying drug treatment would generally be targeted for kids at least 8 years old who have too much LDL, the "bad" along with other risky conditions including obesity and high blood pressure.
Here's the new advice from the "so called" experts from the Academy of Pediatrics. They urge doctors to screen more children for high cholesteral and put more of them on cholesteral - lowering drugs, including those as young as eight years old.
Here's more details:
Children between the ages of 2 and 10 with a family history of inherited cholesteral disease or with parents or grandparents who got heart disease at an early age.
Screening is also advised for kids who are overweight or have other heart disease risk factors and those whose family history isn't known.
Let's stop here right now and get off this ridiculous killer boosting theories.
Parents! Hear me out please before your kid's health becomes worse then it may be right now. Find yourself a Pediatrician if you can, who is an expert on nutrition. Don't let any doctor treat your kid with drugs of any kind. Nature's medicine is by far the perfect way to treat illnesses and diseases.
This includes a healthy diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat of all kinds that have not been injected with antibotics and hormones and at least some kind of regular exercise. Add some nutritional supplements. Teach them how to manage stress and your child will become healthier sooner than stuffing "killer drugs" down their throat.
No, I'm not a doctor but after four years of health research I learned the common sense approach to good health and it is not getting on prescription drugs.. It's really simple to live a healthy life if you haven't "screwed it up" too bad. But even if you have it might be a little more difficult to reverse your unhealthy condition. However there are many cases where people have reversed their unhealthy condition eventually and dramatically
I observe chidren all the time about their behavior and their eating habits. I am not only appalled by what horrible food I see them eating but also the lack of discipline they are receiving. These children could not only grow up with a series of illnesses and diseases but have difficulty even handling any challenges they may encounter in later life.
What I always wonder about these children when I see them eating and drinking junk food is this: Do they ever have an apple? eat stawberries, bananas, peaches or any other fruits? Does family meals include a variety of vegetables, salads, potatoes (not fries), fish & quality meat (these are best not fried) .Do they drink water more times than a soft drink? I have found in my obsevence this probably isn't the case
So what do you do as parents to help your children grow up healthier? Here's my advice if you would like to hear it.
First set some healthier standards for the meals you cook and for any snacks that are eaten. Restrict the amount of soft drinks that are consumed each day. That even applies to desserts as well. Replace pie and cake with a variety of fruit dishes, puddings low in sugar instead. There are some great dessert recipes that are healthy and still taste good (All these ideas should apply not only to the children but to even parents as well)
If you want to keep your household as disease-free and illness-free as possible I'm strongly urging you that this is the smart way to go. Is it a difficult task? It probably is especially if your family environment has been not too healthy up to now.
My last comment is this. Be very careful about letting your doctor prescribe drugs to any member of your family. 9 times out of 10 a healthy diet, regular exercise, some nutritional supplements, exercise and stress management is the better.answer. Become more knowledgeable about healthy living. There are plenty of books and many sources of information about this subject. Go for it. You will never regret it.
