People nowadays always busy in earning a living, and hence forget the importance of
happiness. We should understand what is "happiness" in depth before we go for it in the four most important areas of our lives. Different people may have different interpretation of the term,
The word- 'happiness' has broad definitions. We generally categorize it into two states: 'present moment' happiness and 'contentment' happiness'. 'Present moment' happiness regarded as 'pleasure' and it did not last for long. On the contrary, 'contentment' happiness is a life-long experience.
'Present moment' happiness is a feeling that you can experience when you are having a party, listening to a concert, etc. You feel delighted when you are doing that.
Looking at the different perspectives of your life, can you feel there is a sense of comfort and delight because this is the life that you are longing for? If you can feel it , I congratulate you. You are experiencing 'contentment' happiness. You are satisfied with your current situation, you job, your health condition, etc.
It is impossible for you to laugh with strong passion all the time, but getting the contentment happiness is comparatively easy.
People often attain 'contentment' happiness unconsciously. Sometimes we may sense it by recalling good times in the past and realizing how happy we were at that time.
Even if you are feeling very depress and unhappy now, you can do something to help yourself to regain a state of happiness. You should know your desire in life and strive for it. You are the only one who can control your own destiny and make yourself happy. No one can ever help you with it.
Happiness is actually controlled by ourselves. We can be happy or unhappy, just depends on the way we read things around us, either positively or negatively.
