Ok, first things first about this whole law of attraction thing that seems to be a stumbling block. One of the biggest misnomers I have seen regarding the change of one's current life situation is the lack of action. Action is a major component of making positive changes in one's life. As much as I liked some things about the movie "The Secret", there were some area's I would tend to refute in a big way. The first one would be the idea that the universe is at your beck and call to fulfill your every desire…. just by thinking about it. While there is another problematic statement in that sentence, what we are trying to focus on here is action. While thinking about something you desire and writing goals, affirmations, creating video and subliminal recordings can impact your outcome significantly, nothing will happen until you take action toward that goal. You can't just sit in a room "visualizing" success and truly believe that your bank account will magically fill to the brim, or your perfect "match" for life will show up at your doorstep delivering pizza, mail, or your latest purchase from CVC. It really won't work.
The law of attraction is real. I believe like many other things in life that it requires that sometimes missing component of common sense. What is curious is that the more difficult our circumstances become the more we tend to grasp at straws. We hold on to hope until our last tenet of strength finds us cavorting with prospects that are not real. Action works every time. Action works best when surrounded by all of the other things we talked about above, that is, setting goals and visiting them daily, affirming in present tense that you have that which you are working towards and making video and sound recording to support everything. The process is Be, Do, Have. There is a connection with all of these tenets and one without the other will negate or impair your vision for success and certainly impede your progress to your desired goal. To take full advantage attracting success or whatever it is you are looking for, that which you desire must be top of mind and then you venture out to make things happen. During the process of doing you will begin to see opportunities specific to what you are looking for all around you. It is the craziest thing ever. I remember a point in my life where I was really broke. There were many circumstances that led to where I was and most of them of my own doing. I purchased an old beat up Subaru and did some work to it to make it run nicely and get me to and fro. I had never seen a Subaru like that before. As soon as I started driving the thing I noticed them all over the place. My awareness increased, they may have always been there, I just didn't "see" them. Pursuing your goals is much the same way. There are many opportunities out there; we truly live in an abundant world. We generally don't see those opportunities until we begin to pursue a specific goal. Your awareness will increase the more action you take. The action with the increased awareness is what allows more opportunities to come your way. Here is a old story that sums up nicely the whole situation with action. As a raging flood threatened a small community one man prayed to be spared. As he prayed the last fleeing townsman drove up in his oversized four wheel drive and shouted, "Hop in I can get you to safety". The praying man said no I am good I have prayed to be spared. As the flood water continued to rise the man went up to his 2nd floor deck now just above the fast running water. A boat staying just ahead of a rising tide of current stopped briefly at the man's deck, the drenched and bedraggled group in the boat offered him a hand to get in. The answer from the man was the same, I have prayed to be saved everything is ok. A few minutes later the water is now to the roofline of the house. The man crawls on his roof and sees a helicopter hovering just above him, a basket quickly being dropped down for him. The man waved them of saying, I have prayed to be saved, and everything is ok. As the helicopter continued to lower the basket the man's house collapsed against the weight of the ever rising water and the man drowned. In heaven this man questioned God and asked him why he had not been spared. God's reply was, I sent you a 4 wheel drive truck, a boat and a helicopter, what more did you need? The story has been around forever and no doubt you have heard it before. What I want to point out is that the missing component was action. Had the man combined action with his belief he would no doubt have been saved. Change your life take action.
