When you stop to consider how your life has been sculpted by your beliefs, thoughts and emotions, it might be time to create a new way of living to improve your health. You can do that with the Law of Attraction. What you have to do to start attracting good health and vitality into your life is to change your belief system. For most of your life you've probably been surrounded by sick people. When you were a child, your parents and other family members developed illnesses and accepted them as part of life. You listened to these messages and their acceptance of sickness as a normal condition of living and made it part of your belief system. Before any change for the better can start in your life, YOUR beliefs have to change to allow the benefits of the Law of Attraction to start helping you. It's not as easy as deciding that you will believe something different tomorrow and your body will heal itself by noon. Not going to happen. The first thing you have to do is recognize what YOU believe about your health and the state of your body. It doesn't matter what anyone else believes about you. Your beliefs are the ones controlling your health and well-being. Start by noticing how you feel during different parts of the day. Do you feel like death warmed over in the morning? Does late afternoon have so many pains to ignore that you cannot easily function? Are you afraid that your kids are going to bring the latest virus home from school and share it with you? When you focus on aches and pains and spend time dreading the possibility of catching something, you are making sure that your pains WILL escalate and that the grammar school bug WILL find a home with you. The Universe and the Law of Attraction always return to you exactly what you send out. Fear, illness, pain and dread will get returned to you in abundance until you can change your beliefs. To start with, take the pain or ache that bothers you the most and start changing your belief about it. Instead of thinking, "There's MY backache again. Right on time," or "MY headache's back!" which reinforces your ownership of the backache or headache, for example, try simply acknowledging the ache and not claiming ownership of it. Instead, start visualizing your back without pain or your head without a pounding headache that bothers you every afternoon. Visualization is a powerful, life-changing technique that can make dramatic changes in your health and the state of your entire life, for that matter. What you do is acknowledge the pain or illness and simply start visualizing a pain-free life or healthy body. Make that visualization as real as possible. Call it daydreaming if you want. It doesn't matter what you call it as long as you can see a better, healthier you in your mind's eye. See yourself doing activities you've been unable to do for years or just feeling alive and vibrant, full of strength and energy. Don't visualize anything like it's a future event. See it like it is already a fact of life, already part of your life...a done deal. Anything else is wishful thinking and not visualization. Once you've practiced visualization for a while and are comfortable with the technique, notice all the good things in your life and about your health. Start feeling grateful for all the good things in your life. It doesn't matter how small they are. Just start noticing them. Is there a small flower in a mayonnaise jar sitting on your windowsill, a present from your toddler? Be grateful for the love your child feels for you. Did your husband move the boxes in the garage so you could get in and out of your car easier? Be grateful for his consideration. Did your headache skip an afternoon after you started visualizing life without it? Be grateful. You get the idea. Expressing gratitude refocuses your mind and emotions on the good in your life, rather than what's bad or painful. When you reinforce that new focus with positive visualizations and honest expressions of gratitude, you will attract the attention of the Universe and get more of the same in return. Don't be disturbed when your mind returns to old thinking and believing patterns and you start dwelling once again on your physical problems.
