Inspiration - Personal Development at its Best!

Whether you know it or not, your beliefs control the state of your health and have a large part in determining whether or not you will ever reach good health. When some thought has been reinforced in your mind by countless repetitions, it becomes your belief, your truth about yourself, even if it's not true.

Those inaccurate beliefs actually control what your body attracts from the Universe and the Law of Attraction. When you believe something is true, like you always get a cold in February, it becomes an accurate belief and will be proven over and over as the Universe sends you your February cold to match your belief.

That same process applies to anything you are trying to use the Law of Attraction to send to you. Your limiting beliefs will not allow the abundance you want to get to you, regardless of all the right actions and thoughts you are practicing every day. Put simply, if you don't believe you can get healthy, you will not because your subconscious mind will block it.

Your self image, your mental picture of who you are and what you can do for yourself, is a powerful force behind the aspects of your current health situation. If you do not believe that you are worthy of being healed or hold tight to a limiting belief in a critical or disapproving Universe or Higher Being, you will block any healing energy being sent to you.

The real problem with trying to attract healing energy from the Law of Attraction and not being successful is two-fold. First, you can be making positive changes to your thinking, feelings and activities and still keep your old belief system that limits your success. That negative Boomerang effect will spread out and retard the forward progress you are making in other areas of your consciousness.

If your real beliefs about yourself are subconscious and self-limiting, how can you know that and change them?

One way is to become aware of how you are feeling and thinking when something new pops up in your mind and you automatically dismiss it as "not for you" or "not what you believe." If you actually slow down your dismissal reaction and consider the possibility of one of those new concepts, you will feel a sense of inner conflict or anxiety.

In order to dissolve your subconscious resistance to change and start placing new, positive beliefs in their place, try mentally repeating several positive statements that start with, "I believe..." or "I am..." Even if these mantras make you feel uncomfortable, keep on doing it. Every time you repeat something positive, little pieces of your old, invisible negative beliefs will start to dissolve until you have replaced it with a new belief that will help you heal yourself.

Most of us don't know when we hold limiting beliefs that keep us from receiving the Universal abundance we deserve. A lot of our subliminal reinforcement of those limiting beliefs was imposed by what our parents believed when we were children. Your task now is to find those beliefs that have you stalled with poor health and change them into beliefs that will allow you to heal yourself.

Of course, rooting out your limiting beliefs will not be easy and should not be tackled like a major, all encompassing, emotional Spring cleaning. Take it gently, one belief at a time. Try identifying one belief you hold that could be changed into one that will be more productive for you. Write out positive statements that replace what you've always believed that might be keeping you ill.

Whatever you do, your main focus needs to be on what you believe about you, specifically what believe you deserve, and what you believe you can achieve, what is possible. You can change your beliefs at any time in your life, even if they were formed and reinforced by the beliefs of those all around you.

When you are creating a new belief for those limiting ones you've been carrying around for decades, be sure to make it one you believe is possible. If a specific one directed at a physical ailment you have keeps bouncing back at you as not believable, make a more generic replacement, like, "I believe in the healing power of the Universe and the miracle of good health is part of my life."

Any positive statement that starts to replace the old beliefs you've held in your heart will start working for you. Just believe and enjoy the change in your health!
