Inspiration - Personal Development at its Best!
Friday, 18 July 2008

Brittle, broken, burned, colored, dandruff, dry, frizzy, gray, oily,
permed, relaxed, slow growing, split ends, thinning… Rarely do I meet a
woman who is completely happy with her hair for an extended period of
time… unless she has chosen to wear it in a pony tail everyday, cut it
very low, wear natural locks or shave it bald, by choice, and even that
may have its challenges.

Do you know what your hair type in its natural state? Is it fine, medium
or thick?
Is the texture bushy, curly, kinky, wavy or straight?

Knowing your hair type and texture won't eliminate problems but this
knowledge will certainly give you the upper hand when it comes to making
the best decisions about your own tresses—what you can and can't do with
it and to it. Also, it can guide you in perfecting your authentic image
in regard to maintaining your overall appearance by designing a
nourishing healthy hair régime and knowing what styles could work best
for you.

So, How Can A Girl Win?

1. A girl can win with good self-esteem
2. An engaging personality
3. Great skin
4. A gorgeous smile
5. Fabulous shoes
6. Having the very best, most fabulous hairstylist you can find

First and foremost, you've got to have a stylist that knows you are
serious about your hair. They've got to understand that it is all about
you while at the same time the two of you are in agreement that he/she
is definitely the most–high fabulous stylist. Your very reason for being
there is because you know this. Agreements are powerful. Now, this is
why it is critical that you know your hair type, texture and hair
say—your hair stories. You want to be able to communicate this and other
vital information to the stylist. That's why they have consultations
first. Get it all out, darling… tell him/her everything. If he/she
doesn't want to listen, it's not the right stylist for you. Leave!

The job of the most-high fabulous stylist is to make you look absolutely
gorgeous—every visit, otherwise what's the point? You can get an okay
hairdo from beauty schools for a faction of the cost.

Your Hair Stylist Responsibilities

1. Understand your hair say. Most of us have hair stories that we
want to share with new stylist.
2. Talk to you about your hair type and texture.
3. Talk to you about your lifestyle, fashion personality type and
hair goals.
4. Restore and/or maintain healthy hair.
5. Design an in home maintenance régime that is just right for you.

6. Consistently please you by providing wonderful services and a
great hair cut and style—every visit.
7. Inform you of all hair options, including new cutting edge
products, old reliable and proven products, wigs, weaves and the many
type of hair extensions, beauty magazines and hair shows, and anything
that he/she believes you would be interested in when it comes to hair
and beauty. You want a progressive stylist.

With the right hair stylist, the right cut and style, a personal
maintenance plan and a little time—sleek, sophisticated and fabulous
hair can be yours, darling. Remember, you and your stylist have an
agreement.

If you'd like to tell me about your "Hair Say" I'd love to hear, and
listen.

Love to you,
