In grandma's day, there weren't any chemical products on the market, so that people were forced to use whatever they had if a problem occurred. Still, this isn't necessarily bad. Years later, even with these chemical products on the market, people still don't use them because these natural products work just fine. Why should they change something that might potentially be unsafe if a natural product that is not unsafe works? Plus, these chemical products can often cost more than their natural counterparts.

Simply, in years gone by, people used to products and food they had around the house to cure pimples, bad breath, sores, ingrown hairs, and more. Even today, most grandmas believe that chemicals and anything else that's "newfangled" on the market isn't necessary, just like they think technology is overblown, too. And, using natural products to cure disorders and for beauty treatments is better than slathering on a bunch of chemicals.

Many if not most "home remedies" can be used for other than their specific and first intended purposes. For example, mixed berries, sweet orange, cocoa butter, lemon, anise, sunflower, vanilla, avocado, Rosemary, almonds, jaffa, geranium, and tea tree oil are just a few of the things your grandma might use for various home remedies and that still work for what ails you. In fact, you probably have at least several of them in your home right now.

For example, if you have poor digestion, you can drink lemon juice every morning, and it's also good for quenching your thirst without a lot of the preservatives, sugar, and artificial colors that commercial drink mixes have. Using lemon is also good if you have a cold or the flu, and if you feel a cold coming on, you can mix some honey with warm lemon juice and drink it three times a day.

Tea tree oil may be another of your grandmother's favorites. When you were small, did she pull out her bottle of oil and put a little bit on the cut you suffered? It's also great for cuts, abrasions, ingrown hairs, smelly feet, rashes, and acne, not to mention many more uses. Keep tea tree oil on hand and you will be surprised at how often you use it. In fact, it won't be long before you wonder how you ever got along without it.

Instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money on these air fresheners that are harsh on your sensitive nose, all you have to do to keep your home smelling clean is put fresh rosemary into a vase or basket in each room of the house. It will give off a nice homely, clean, fresh smell that will also be unique as it doesn't smell like other air fresheners there are. It smells natural.

Got bad breath? A lot of people suffer from this, even if they brush their teeth several times a day. Sometimes, bad breath comes from stomach problems or thyroid problems, so that the bad breath can't be helped. However, chewing a few mint leaves should help with your bad breath if you have it, so that you won't suffer any further problems. Parsley is another remedy for bad breath that you can simply carry with you in the event you need help with bad breath.

Using natural products will not only be more cost effective for you, but you will also feel better once you have used it. It doesn't have as many side effects involved, so you should find no problem with the products.
