So you've started that new project, the plan to get fit, your new business or any other new adventure that you've decided upon, and now you find yourself at that inevitable stage where the honeymoon is over, the initial enthusiasm that marks a new challenge is gone and in it's place comes indifference, lack of enthusiasm and you're asking yourself where's the vigour and passion that seemed to accompany you on first starting up, what happened to that attitude that said I'm gonna do this and it's gonna work. The tricky part is where you now find yourself, and it's difficult because only you can keep the fire burning, only you can keep it moving and you're having a hard enough time just keeping going right? Well this is where goal setting, positive mental images and faith come into play. If you have set yourself a realistic goal and by realistic I mean something within the realms of time and space that you can achieve, so if you're 30 there is no point in wanting to be a millionaire by the time you're 25 as you've missed that boat already, but by the same token you can set a goal to be a millionaire by the time your 35 as that ship hasn't sailed yet but bear in mind that you need to get your skates on as you've only got 5 more years left. Well back to the subject at hand which is how do you keep on going when all you can think of is to quit, give up, try something else or just take a well earned rest, how do you muster up the energy that you obviously had to begin with on this magnificent journey that you now find yourself in, well in the beginning there must have been a desire to achieve something and there must have been reasons for wanting the achievement that you were aiming for and that you so richly deserve as it's totally true that you deserve to be whatever it is that you desire to become and nothing can possibly stop you from being exactly that other than YOU. But that vision the mental image that you had before the undertaking, do you remember the feeling that it gave you, what if anything did it look like, did you picture yourself in full splendour and glory riding the waves of success, who knows? What I do know is that it filled you with so much energy and enthusiasm that you earnestly decided to do something about that feeling, you went out of your way to make something happen and you acted upon those feelings because you believed and had faith in your ability to make it become a reality something that you could actually live on a daily basis, and if you care to look a little closer at what has been said it will be interesting for you to note that the common factor which doesn't change amidst all that I was saying is once again YOU The one and only, that person who is always there with and for you, and ultimately the one person that stands between you and the life you desire to lead. The key to your success lies with you and in the abilities that are within you, so a thorough understanding of what You are like, your hopes and aspirations, your strengths and weaknesses is a good place to start if you're finding that the momentum has slightly faded under all the hard work that is being done in pursuit of your dreams. Take some time out to re-evaluate the situation, assess where you find yourself in relation to your goal and remember the reasons for the journey, in the end it will be found that you wanted to improve your general condition and position in life and it's a natural desire which is based on a principle of growth. It's no different from taking a car journey, you know the reason you're in the car, how to drive and you know where you're going, sometimes we find ourselves lost and have to take out a road map or check the Sat/Nav to regain our bearings but it doesn't change the end destination, and as long as we have sufficient fuel and the car is in good nick you can guarantee that you'll get to where you're going.
