Have you ever heard that old cliché, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer expressed by someone who has achieved great financial success? I know this is not a politically correct statement, but I believe that the origins of this cliché have bounced to your ear, from someone, who is attempting to make excuses for their own lack of performance. Excuses are what many people use to pacify their own guilt or, said differently, they are trying to pacify their negative feelings towards themselves for not performing according to their full potential.
In no way am I suggesting that financial wealth is the only measure of success. My inference is that success is far more than merely living in a fancy house, with all the financial trappings, which go with making a lot of money. One definition of success, which resonates with me states that success is the progressive realisation of predetermined worthwhile goals. The goals you choose to set for yourself will be determined by your own unique circumstances and personal values.
I want you to stop making excuses for your lack of progress and see that you have unlimited potential and possibilities available to you. You are truly magnificent and special. You inhabit an incredibly abundant universe and how you get to experience life on this beautiful planet of yours is only limited by your imagination, self-belief, self-worth, discipline, your willingness to consistently grow and expand and your commitment to take action to deliver on your goals daily. You can have, do and be anything you want, if you set your mind to it.
Life is too short and the potential that resides within you, is too great, for me to accept any excuses from you any longer. The path to creating the success you desire is simple:
- Develop a crystal clear vision of future.
- Set realistic goals that move you in the direction of your vision
- Pull the trigger on your future success
- Keep taking action until you succeed
People who have been dealt a far worse hand than you have managed to achieve amazing things with their lives. Where you are right now is exactly where you should be. Where you end up in the future is up to you though. I said above that success is simple; I never said it was easy. Becoming a great achiever requires some effort on your part.
I am not sure how to pass on the gift, where you can finally see the value of hard work and daily discipline. All I can say is that, if your life is not demonstrating the success you desire, and then it is time to start doing things differently and to work a little harder. Success seldom breaks down your door. You need to grab the door handle and pull it open first. Your story will be far richer and your future a lot sweeter when you achieve your dreams. The future success you are able to achieve is greater than even you can imagine.
You are truly magnificent, have unlimited potential, possibility and opportunity available to you. You are completely in charge of how your life unfolds. All the decisions you make, or fail to make, will dictate how things will turn out in the end. Open your mind today; take charge of your life and start to consciously direct your life from this moment on. As you open your mind, search your environment and apply daily discipline, you become your own stimulus package as you align yourself with possibility and everything and anything becomes possible for you.
