Think about it! All you have to do is devote some of your energy to exercise your will and, after it will become a part of your daily routine, your self-control will become stronger every day. You will be a person who has no problems with self-discipline. And when you willpower is strong you can achieve anything, climb any heights, live any wildest dreams, become a person you are meant to be.

I want you to realize that any action can be transformed into an exercise of will, provided it is not done from habit or experienced as duty.

Let’s go ahead and check how strong is your will power at the moment. Try this simple exercise.

Stand up straight. Lift your arms out to sides at shoulder height. Keep breathing steadily. That’s it. Just stay in this position for 10 minutes. What seems like an easy exercise will be really hard to do. Your mind will keep telling you to lower your arms, to give up, to fail. Prove to yourself, that you CAN do it. Prove to yourself and the others that you ARE in control of your destiny and your future. Imagine that your very life depends on it. Go ahead and do it right now and we’ll discuss the rest later.

Well how did it feel? Like hell. Very hard. I know, because my yoga teacher made me do exactly the same exercise years ago. The whole time while I was suffering he was comfortably seating on the sofa and drinking tea. I felt like killing the bastard. I pictured in my mind how I will poor that cup of tea on his bold head. He was sweetly smiling at me the whole time. That’s where I’ve decided for myself that I better die or let my arms fell off before I will lower them. I did it and when I gave him a victorious look. He just simply asked me how I felt. I felt like a champion, I felt great, like I just won a battle. This is how being a winner really feels. I want you to experience the same feeling. I want you to realize that there is nothing impossible in this world. You can achieve anything if you will just put your mind to it.

If you didn’t have enough strength to do it today, don’t worry you’ll do it tomorrow. Just try to hold your hands a little bit longer every day until you will be able to hold for 10 minutes. In the long run you achievement will be even greater, because you had to fight multiple battles, while the rest just did it once.

Another way to stay focused on your goal and to keep motivated is to visualize an actual result. You have to imagine how you will feel after your task is completed. If you don’t want to organize your desk, imagine how great it will look after you clean it, how great you will feel while sitting at it. Imagine running you finger on the shiny, clean, polished surface. Imagine how much easier it will be to breath when you are not surrounded by the piles of documents. You might need to practice a few times before you will be able to visualize things that clear. But don’t worry, you’ll get it.
