In previous reports I was telling you how to achieve your goals and conquer your doubts and fears. While answering your emails I realized that I absolutely must write my next report about the time management. This skill will undoubtedly help you to identify and focus on the activities that will give you the greatest and fastest returns.
You may have heard a lot about the time management. You may even use some of the time management principles, but it is just a top of an iceberg. Things I am about to tell you are not based on some theory a group of scientists have created, which only works theoretically. It is based on my personal experience and experience of many successful people. That's why it is actually realistic and doable.
When I first decided to get more out of my life and use my time more efficiently I searched Internet for any information I could get about time management. I tried getting up an hour earlier in the morning to answer all of my emails as was suggested by some experts. I practised it for a month. At the end of the month I realized that I feel extremely aggravated, I could not get my thought together and instead of spending 45 minutes answering my mail (as I normally did ), I was blankly staring at the monitor, blinking and fitting the urge to go back to bed. I looked like a brain-dead zombie with an eye twitch. Finally I realized I'm better off having my regular 8 hours of sleep.
Since that time I read so many pointless advices that would only make it seem like you are accomplishing more things, but in reality slowing you down. Maybe I am just not that kind of person who will scrub my sink while brushing my teeth and listening to motivational tapes at the same time. I'm sorry!!! I just can't drink some blended concoction in the morning instead of sitting down and having a normal meal. I take pleasure in the smell of just toasted piece of bread and fresh-brewed cup of coffee. I enjoy the procedure of spreading orange jam over a golden toast with a crispy crust instead of forcing some cold and tasteless blended puree down my throat. I like sometimes listening to the music in my car, not the motivational CD's. It gives my time to think and clear my head out. I enjoy life and I want you to be able to do the same. So if you are anything like me, here are some time management principles and techniques that are both easy-to-follow and very effective.
I want you to understand that managing time is not all about scheduling appointments and making to-do lists. It doesn't mean taking out all the fun and leaving only work, house duties and then some more work and some more house duties.
Time management is
the science of building a better and easier life, where you have more time for the things YOU enjoy doing.
