The Only Difference That Can Make You A Success

The Only Difference That Can Make You A Success

“The glass is half full or half empty” is the great example of the attitude we have towards life, of course glass is half full being the right attitude. To be serious attitude is everything.

A couple of years ago I did some research on why some people become successful and some don’t, no matter how hard they try. One thing amazed me back then. Both successful and unsuccessful people were talking about the obstacles they had on their way. The only difference was that successful people were telling me how they overcame these obstacles, but unsuccessful people just complained about those same obstacles.

If you are a pessimistic person who is always looking for the worst in every single situation, instead of enjoying things he already has, there is not a great-enough success to make you happy. You can win a million dollars tomorrow and be the most miserable person on Earth. While some might be thinking how they can help others with that money, and what they can do to make it work, you will be thinking of the multiple ways you can lose that money and multiple problems the money will bring you.

How we perceive our lives and what we make of current situations has everything to do with our happiness and fulfilment.

If we constantly look down the road for our happiness, our chances to find it are very close to a zero. It’s just like trying to reach the horizon. With your every step forward, the horizon moves one step away. There will never be tomorrow, only today. And, if you are living in your future, always looking ahead, you risk missing what’s right under your feet. You can’t look to your past for happiness - it’s over. You can’t look to your future; there are too many possible outcomes. You have to learn how to be happy now, at this very moment.

The Only Place Where You Can Find Happiness

Tell me what stops you from being happy right now, at this moment? You have two hands, two legs and a fine working head. Why not to be happy? I know some people who are paralysed from the waist down. They wake up every day happy, thanking God for being able to enjoy life. For being able to see beautiful bright flowers growing in the garden, to hear birds sing in the morning.

Think about it! These people are happy and they have to battle their own physical inabilities every day. Now look at your own problems. Is your life really that bad? I know you have problems, we all do, so what? Feel miserable for the rest of your life? Obstacles are put in your way to make you a stronger person, to make you take some action. You need to overcome obstacles; otherwise you’ll just rust and then get musty.

So tell me what is it that makes you an unhappy person? Is a lack of money? Lack of love in your life? Lack of fame and appreciation? All of the above? And now tell me how much money do you need to be happy? How many people have to love you?Believe me there will never be enough.
