Introduction

We live in a world where there are too many cancers, sicknesses and diseases that we could describe. We do not want any of them, but they may have come upon family, friends, or even our enemies.

What if I were to offer you a tablet that would significantly reduce the likelihood of some of the worst killer conditions of our age? Would you take it?

You may ask. What's the catch? What's the list of side effects like?

Let's look at what this pill can help you with? In the cases of all these diseases and cancers it lessens the likelihood of them coming on you. This is not an exhaustive list, it just covers my reading as I have looked into the subject and I may have missed some.

This helps to prevent heart disease, reducing the risk of you having a stroke or osteoporosis. Now I have you interested. You all know someone who has had a stroke or heart disease. You probably know someone with osteoporosis but they probably aren't talking about it. Does that sounds good so far.?

It reduces the risk of colon cancer and cuts the rates of other cancers and diabetes. If you do not have type II diabetes it will prevent you getting it. If you are already suffering from type II diabetes then it will help you control the diabetes and may even get you to the stage where you need no medication for your condition.

Are you on anti-depressants such as Prozac? Then this can reduce or remove your dependence on them as our treatment releases endorphins. These endorphins make you feel well as well as reducing anxiety and stress.

This pill will help you control your weight. At this stage everyone who could is trying to grab me to tell them the secret of what this pill is and how much it costs, but wait a little.

If you already have cancer then this will reduce the side-effects of the chemotherapy. And you get all this from one tablet.

Finally from my list this slows the aging process making the people who take it younger, fitter and healthier. There is no joke, but sitting down too much only encourages arthritis and the problems that surround that.

Now for my admission. I cannot make it in pill form. If I could I would be able to write my own check for any amount of money from any of the pharmaceutical companies in the world as they would want to keep this off the market at any cost. A tablet like this would ruin their profits overnight.

It is available and the only cost is time - your time.

Get out there and walk. It does not matter if your joints hurt, get out and do some exercise. Sitting on the comfortable chairs only ruins them. Get out there and walk. Get on your trainers or comfortable walking shoes and walk. The aim should be for a 30 minute walk every day of the week. If that only starts off as a 10 minute walk then the start has been made. If you walk 3 times a day for 10 minutes then that will be a good day for you.

One side-effect of all this exercise is that you will sleep better. Yes that is a great side-effect

It would be a start to eradicate all these unwanted cancers and conditions that we face in our modern world.

Walk with someone; it never seems as long or tiring as when you walked on your own. Don't just think or talk about it, do it. Put down this book and go out and walk along your road and come back.

Get your iPod, headphones and listen to some great music or an audio book as you walk, especially if you walk on your own.

If you are already being treated by the doctor for health issues such as heart condition or stroke or any of these conditions then make sure that you check with them before you get too involved in walking. They may want to monitor your progress and may even have some knowledge of walks that you can participate in that will benefit you.

Chapter 1

OK couch potato time to get up and go.

Everything will conspire to stop you. Your joints will ache, the rain will come down, there is a program on the TV you want to watch, or you want to surf the internet. No, start now, by planning. What do you have within a mile of your house that you can walk to? Is it a bank, post office, or grocery store? What about the local library? You like reading so go there, check on your membership and if possible borrow a book. Often in the UK in your library you will have a place to sit and read local newspapers, so you could even have a rest when you get there and walk back. Some libraries even have free internet access, so you can get your exercise and surf the net.
